A Written Account

Visiting Ireland would be impossible without its music.  The unique culture of collaboration and the community derived from their tradition are part of what shapes the country.  The aural passage of history is accompanied by music; leisure time features music, people are always on the street playing, and playing music inside of their homes.  Ireland is a country that is shaped by its music, past and present. 

The music and folklore of this country have survived colonization, famine, war, and many other tragic events, yet it holds strong and waits for the next generation to continue the tradition of preserving culture and history.
