This exhibit captures MidTown, Inc. a community redevelopment organization in Midtown, Columbus in west central Georgia, USA. This digital humanities exhibit summarizes findings related to two research questions: What is Midtown? and What is MidTown, Inc.? The project includes a timeline of MidTown, Inc., oral histories and transcripts conducted with people involved with its creation, maps show Midtown’s demographic makeup (age, race/ethnicity and education levels), and a brief historical overview of Midtown’s expansion since the mid-nineteenth century.
