While Ledger-Enquirer photographers took a majority of the images, there are a small amount of Associated Press Wire Photographs that depict subjects from the Columbus-area. Of particular interest are the photographs from the Phenix City, Alabama, corruption scandal in 1954, for which the Ledger-Enquirer won a Pulitzer Prize in Public Service for its coverage in 1955.
