<dcterms:title><![CDATA[Odds and Ends in the Time of Coronavirus ]]></dcterms:title>
<dcterms:description><![CDATA[This image brings together three items we didn’t have in the house prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first item is multivitamins that includes vitamin D. Some early studies have speculated that this maybe essential to a healthy immune system. The second item is an oximeter that measures the percentage of oxygen in the blood. A few early studies suggest that this might be a good indicator of the virus in otherwise asymptomatic folks. The last item is a “phone bath” or perhaps better described as a tanning bed for a phone. It also reminds me of a little coffin. You put your phone in it, shut the lid. and it exposes the phone’s surface to UV light for about 10 minutes. It’s designed to kill microbes. While some or none of these items may ultimately be useful, it is interesting to explore ideas at a time when a lot of other things are beyond one’s control. ]]></dcterms:description>
