She says that she had just dictated a letter to Elizabeth Schwartz, who had given Carson "that lovely photograph of Annemarie" (Annemarie Schwarzenbach (1908-1942), Swiss photographer, writer and poet, and friend of Carson). She also mentions that "Robbie" (Robert Lantz, Carson McCullers' literary agent), had told Carson that the German edition had sold out and they were preparing another one.
