Photograph of Ignatius A. Few (b. April 11, 1790 - d. November 28, 1845) One of 5 Commmissioners appointed by Gov. Forsyth to have change of laying out the new town of Columbus in 1828. Founded St. Luke Methodist Church and was one of the first pastors, later Presiding Elder. Founded Emory Colllege at Oxford [Georgia] in 1836, and was the first President.
